GAARI.ART inspires & motivates to live with the mindset of freedom

My name is Garwin Gaari, and I am a portrait artist on a mission to make an impact—one artwork at a time. Through my GAARI.ART creations, I aim to inspire and encourage people to embrace a mindset of freedom in its fullest sense. I want individuals to feel free to be their authentic selves.

To share this vision, I am building the GAARI.ART Community, a space for anyone who believes in the power of freedom and wants to support this message through vibrant, meaningful art. By offering affordable artwork rentals, I hope to make my vision a shared experience.

Sharing the creative journey

At GAARI ART, my mission extends beyond creating impactful portraits - I am passionate about sharing the creative process with others and making art an experience that inspires, connects, and empowers. Through various offerings, I invite individuals and organizations to engage with art in meaningful ways:

  • Lessons and Workshops: Dive into the world of art through lessons and workshops where I share my techniques and philosophy. I offer group and individual lessons. One unique aspect of my teaching approach is that I always paint alongside my students. Instead of giving instructions for them to follow, we create side by side. I believe this hands-on, collaborative approach is essential for understanding the creative process and discovering your own unique artistic style.

  • Shared artworks (rental): Make a statement with vibrant, thought-provoking artworks from the GAARI.ART community, available for rental. This accessible option allows both individuals and organizations to connect with the message of freedom and display it in their spaces.

  • Your own GAARI.ARTwork: For those looking to own a piece of GAARI.ART, an artwork can be made on commission.

  • Live Painting at Events: Witness the creative process in real time as I bring art to life during live events. This interactive experience sparks conversation, engagement, and inspiration.

  • Art Prints: Bring the essence of GAARI.ART into your home or workplace with high-quality prints that capture the bold colors and unique spirit of my work, in a smaller-size option.

About the art

Garwin Gaari creates bold, large-scale portraits that are vibrant and full of life. His style is a fusion of early influences, including manga and comics, combined with an abstract and dynamic approach to color. Gaari’s work is often associated with pop art and “spontaneous realism,” a technique that defines his creative process.

Each painting is a journey of instinct and expression. Gaari selects his colors intuitively, allowing them to emerge organically during the process. He intentionally leaves the layers of brush strokes visible on the canvas, resulting in uniquely textured and striking pieces with bold, unexpected color schemes.

“Through my paintings, I see the reflection of my own growth.” – Garwin Gaari

A selection of GAARI ART portrait subjects includes iconic figures such as:

Andy Warhol, Audrey Hepburn, Colin Kaepernick, Daft Punk, Einstein, Erykah Badu, Johan Cruyff, John Travolta, Kim Jung Gi, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Mary J. Blige, Michael Jordan, Mona Lisa, Muhammad Ali, Pharrell Williams, Samuel L. Jackson, Snoop Dogg, and Tupac.
